Real website prices in Bulgaria for 2026: what you get at each price level, the hidden extra costs, and how to compare two quotes side by side.

If you've asked a few companies for a website quote, you've probably received wildly different prices for the same request. One says €700, another €3,000, and a third won't give a number at all until you've sat through a "discovery meeting".

So which price is the real one?

The truth is that a website's price depends far more on what you get than on how many pages it has. In this post we'll explain honestly what the price levels are in Bulgaria, what drives the cost, which extra costs to plan for, and how to compare two quotes.

And because we think prices should be public, we'll show ours too.

The three price levels in the market

Roughly speaking, the Bulgarian website market splits into three levels.

LevelApproximate priceWhat you usually get
Budgetup to about €900 (or a monthly subscription)A template site built quickly, with little attention to structure, speed or SEO
Mid-rangeroughly €1,500–4,000Real design, a thought-through structure, CMS, basic SEO, support after launch
Premiumabove €4,000Online stores with large catalogues, integrations, customer accounts, custom systems

These are rough market ranges, not a price list. Prices by type of site (landing page, business site, online store) are in our website price table for Bulgaria. And price alone doesn't tell you about quality. We've seen expensive sites that are slow and invisible on Google, and relatively cheap ones that work very well.

A budget site can be perfectly fine for a freelancer or a brand-new company. You just need to know what was cut to reach that price.

Why two 10-page websites can cost very different amounts

Imagine two companies, each with a 10-page site.

Company A has 10 standard pages and a contact form, and changes its content once or twice a year.

Company B has 10 pages, a CMS, a blog, two languages, an online catalogue with filters, a CRM connection and automated emails.

Both sites have "10 pages". But the second needs many times more design, development and testing. That's why you can't price a website by page count alone.

What drives the price?

Pages and content

Five pages and thirty pages are different jobs. But one complex product page with filters and a gallery can take longer than several simple information pages.

Design: template or built for you

A template is cheaper, but it looks like hundreds of other sites. A design built around your specific business takes longer, but it sets you apart from competitors.

CMS

Do you want to edit text, publish articles or change photos yourself? Then you need a CMS. If your content rarely changes, you can skip it, and that lowers the price.

Features

Online payments, bookings, calculators, multiple languages, customer accounts, a connection to your inventory software or CRM. Each one adds development and testing time.

SEO and speed

This is the biggest hidden difference between quotes. An "SEO-friendly site" and a site with a real SEO foundation are not the same thing. A site built properly for Google (clean URLs, correct headings, meta data, a sitemap and fast loading) costs a bit more up front. A site where this was skipped costs far more later, when it has to be reworked.

Support after launch

What happens if something breaks a month after going live? How long is the company responsible for the site, and what will future changes cost? This is rarely spelled out clearly in quotes, and it should be.

Extra costs that often aren't in the quote

When comparing quotes, check whether these are included:

  • Domain: your .bg or .com address, paid yearly.
  • Hosting: the server your site runs on.
  • Professional email: addresses like office@yourcompany.bg.
  • Content: copywriting, product descriptions, translations, professional photos.
  • Third-party services: online payments, email sending, maps, SMS. Some are billed monthly or by usage.

None of these is a problem on its own. The problem is finding out about them after you've signed.

Our prices

At Crunky Studios we work with three packages with published prices, so you know up front what you're paying for. The final price and scope are fixed in writing before work starts.

START: from €600, delivered in about 1 week - up to 5 pages - responsive design - custom frontend - contact form - Google Analytics - deployment and SSL

For small businesses that need a clean, fast, professional online presence and don't change their content often.

BUSINESS: from €1,200, delivered in about 2 weeks - up to 10 pages - custom UI/UX design - CMS so you can edit content yourself - blog - Google Analytics - speed optimisation - initial technical support

For companies that want their website to be an active part of their marketing and to be found on Google. SEO isn't included in this package; it's added with a separate SEO pack.

CUSTOM: from €2,000, delivered in 2–4 weeks - architecture built specifically for your business - custom admin panel - online store or bookings - integrations with external systems - user accounts - SEO Start included: preparation and initial optimisation

For companies whose website needs to do more than present them: sell, take orders or work with other systems.

Why we don't build on WordPress

We build every site with Next.js and React, not WordPress templates. WordPress has its place, but for the business sites we build, modern development gives three real advantages: faster loading (which also affects Google rankings), fewer security issues, and no dependence on dozens of plugins that constantly need updating and patching.

When a cheap website ends up expensive

This is the situation we see most often. A company gets a cheap site. A year later it realises it doesn't rank on Google and starts paying for SEO. The SEO specialist finds problems in the site's structure itself, and part of it has to be reworked or rebuilt from scratch. We walked through exactly this case in web developer or SEO specialist: who should you hire first.

In the end, the company has paid for a website twice, plus the months of SEO that didn't deliver.

So the right question isn't "who offers the cheapest website?" but "what am I getting for this price, and will it still work for me in two or three years?"

How to compare two quotes

Before deciding, fill in a simple table:

What to checkQuote AQuote B
Number of pages
Design (template or custom)
CMS
What SEO is included
Speed on mobile
Domain and hosting
Support after launch
Integrations
Delivery time
Final price

You'll quickly see whether you're comparing two similar services or two completely different ones.

Questions to ask any developer

  • What exactly is included in the price, and what costs extra?
  • Will I be able to edit the content myself?
  • What specifically does the SEO work include?
  • Who will prepare the copy and photos?
  • Whose name will the domain, hosting and accounts be registered under?
  • What happens if something breaks after launch?
  • What will future changes cost?
  • Can I see sites you've built, and how they perform today?

If someone can't answer these clearly, that's an answer in itself.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a small business website cost? Usually anywhere from a few hundred to a few thousand euros, depending on design, page count, CMS and features. Our starter package is from €600.

How much does a professional company website cost? A site with custom design, a CMS, an SEO foundation and support usually falls between €1,500 and €4,000.

How much does an online store cost? More than a company website, because of the catalogue, payments, orders and delivery. More complex stores can exceed €10,000.

How long does it take to build a website? A small site can be ready in about a week, a company site with a CMS in about two weeks, and more complex projects in several weeks or longer.

Do I need a CMS? Not always. If you'll change your content often, yes. If the site will be mostly static, going without one is simpler and cheaper.

Is SEO included in building a website? It depends on the developer. Ask specifically which SEO tasks are included, not whether the site is "SEO friendly".

The short version

  • A website in Bulgaria can cost from a few hundred to several thousand euros, and the difference is in what you get.
  • For most small and mid-sized companies, the sensible level is mid-range: real design, structure, SEO and support.
  • Plan for domain, hosting, content and third-party services if they're not in the quote.
  • A cheap site with no SEO foundation often ends up the most expensive option in the long run.
